Same idea.
Different sentence.

A paraphraser rebuilds a sentence from the ground up — new vocabulary, new structure, the meaning left where it was. It is what you reach for when a paragraph is correct but clumsy, when three sections have started sounding identical, or when copy written for one audience has to work for another.

Original

The company has made the decision to postpone the launch of the product due to the fact that testing is not yet complete.

Paraphrased · Fluent

The company is delaying the product launch because testing is still under way.

Six modes, six different sentences

The mode is doing most of the work. Same input, very different output — here is what each one does to a real sentence.

Standard

Balanced rewrite that keeps the register you started in.

The results indicate a strong correlation between the two factors.

The findings point to a strong link between the two factors.

Fluent

Smooths awkward phrasing into something that reads naturally.

This method is having many advantages for the researchers.

This method offers several advantages for researchers.

Formal

Raises the register for reports, proposals and client work.

We looked at loads of data before making the call.

A substantial volume of data was reviewed before the decision.

Simple

Strips jargon so a general audience can follow it.

Creative

Takes more liberty with imagery and rhythm for marketing copy.

Our app helps you manage your daily tasks.

Your whole day, finally pulled into one calm list.

Measured, precise, hedged where a claim needs hedging.

This proves the theory is right.

These results provide substantial support for the theory.

What happens after you hit Paraphrase

01

It reads for meaning

The model parses the whole passage, not one word at a time, so it knows which sense of a word you meant before it swaps anything.

02

It rebuilds the sentence

Clauses get reordered, passive constructions flipped, padding dropped — this is the part a thesaurus cannot do for you.

03

It matches the mode

The chosen mode sets register and vocabulary, which is why Academic and Creative return genuinely different sentences from the same input.

Paraphrasing, summarising or rewording?

The three get used interchangeably and they should not be. Picking the wrong one is why a rewrite sometimes comes back far shorter than you wanted.

Where it earns its place

Students

Discussing a source in your own words is a core academic skill. Draft the paraphrase, compare it against the original, and cite either way.

Non-native writers

You know exactly what you mean; English word order fights you. Fluent mode fixes the phrasing without flattening your point.

Marketers

One offer, five channels. Rewrite the same message for an ad, an email, a landing page and a social post without copy-paste duplication.

SEO teams

Near-identical product or location pages read as thin content. Genuine variation beats spinning the same paragraph.

Support & ops

Turn a blunt internal note into a reply a customer can actually read, without rewriting it from scratch every time.

Anyone editing

The fastest fix for a sentence you have rewritten four times and still do not like is a completely different starting point.

Fair use of a rewriter

  • Tightening your own first draft.
  • Restating a cited source in your own words, with the citation kept.
  • Adapting one message for a different audience or channel.
  • Getting unstuck on a sentence that will not come out right.

Where it goes wrong

  • Rewriting someone else's work to pass it off as your own.
  • Dodging a plagiarism check instead of citing properly.
  • Publishing the output unread, hedges and nuance included.
  • Mass-spinning pages that say nothing new.

Institutions set their own rules on AI assistance. If the work is being assessed, check what your school or employer allows before you submit anything rewritten.

Five checks before you use the output

A paraphraser gives you a strong draft, not a finished sentence. Thirty seconds of review is the difference.

  1. 01Read the output once as a reader, not as the author — does it still say what you meant?
  2. 02Check that names, numbers, dates and units survived the rewrite unchanged.
  3. 03Watch for hedges that were dropped: “may indicate” must not become “proves”.
  4. 04Keep your own citations. New wording does not remove the need to credit a source.
  5. 05Run a final grammar pass — rewrites occasionally leave a tense mismatch behind.

It rewrites in the language you paste

No language picker to set. Paste Spanish and you get Spanish back. If you need to move between languages, translate first, then paraphrase the result for tone.

Paraphrasing questions

Does paraphrasing change what my text means?+

It should not. The model is instructed to keep meaning intact and change only wording and structure. In practice, longer or highly technical passages are where drift creeps in, so read the result before you use it.

Which mode should I pick?+

Formal for business and academic work, Simple when clarity matters more than nuance, Fluent to fix awkward phrasing, and Creative for marketing copy where a bit of licence helps.

Is paraphrased text considered plagiarism?+

Rewriting someone else's idea does not make it yours. If the thought came from a source, cite the source — that is true whether you paraphrase by hand or with a tool. Used on your own writing, paraphrasing is simply editing.

How long can the input be?+

It comfortably handles a paragraph or a short section at a time. Feeding whole chapters in one go tends to flatten the voice, so work section by section for better results.

Can I paraphrase in languages other than English?+

Yes, and the output stays in the language you paste in. Quality is strongest in widely written languages; for anything highly idiomatic, check the result with a native speaker.

Will the output sound AI-generated?+

It can, particularly in Standard mode on already-plain text. Switching modes, running one section at a time, and editing a few phrases yourself makes the biggest difference.

Good to know

  • Try different tones — Formal for reports, Simple for readability, Creative for marketing copy.
  • Paraphrasing changes wording and structure while keeping the original meaning intact.
  • Always review AI output before publishing — it's a first draft, not a final one.
