What this checks
Your text is split into sentences and a spread of them is searched on Google as exact phrases. Any page carrying a sentence word-for-word is reported. It finds copy-paste duplication — it cannot detect rewritten or paraphrased content.
Good to know
- Paste at least a paragraph — single lines are too short to search.
- Up to 12 sentences are sampled evenly across the document.
- Quotations will match by design. Matching is not the same as plagiarism.
- Your text is used for the search only and is not stored.
