The audio is extracted and compressed in your own browser first. Only that small speech-only track is sent for transcription — the original video or recording never leaves your device, and nothing is stored afterwards.
Good to know
- Up to about 25 minutes per run. Longer recordings should be split.
- Clear speech with little background noise transcribes best.
- The first run downloads the encoder once, then it is cached.
- Always read the result — automatic transcription is not perfect.
