How to download from Instagram
Instagram gives you no way to keep a post you liked. Paste the link here and the original file comes back — the same resolution it was uploaded in, with nothing stamped over it.

Copy the link
In Instagram, tap the three dots on a post and choose Copy link. For stories, copy the username instead.

Choose Video, Photo, Reels, Story, IGTV or Carousel, then paste into the box.

Where the limits are
- Private accounts can't be fetched — only public posts and public stories.
- Download links expire after a few hours. Fetch the post again if a link stops working.
- Instagram compresses media on upload, so the original camera file no longer exists anywhere.
Rights and fair use
Saving a public post for personal, offline viewing is generally fine. Copyright stays with whoever made the content.
Re-uploading someone else's work as your own, or using it commercially without permission, isn't — get the creator's approval first.
